How to get there:
Make your way to the Santa Monica pier and walk southeast down the Ocean Front Walk. The big rings will be in front of the Spokes N’ Stuff bike shop and the small rings are beside the children’s playground.
Along the Hudson River there are two sets of public traveling rings.
Around 105th street by the Hudson River lies an area called Hudson Beach. This area was was created by the NYC Parks Department in conjunction with the Riverside Park Fund and Swing-a-Ring to emulate the vibe of Santa Monica beach. Two sets of traveling rings exist in NYC, both at this location.
The traveling rings of Riverside Park were originally installed around 2003. In 2005 another small set of rings was installed to accommodate smaller children.

How to get there:
Enter Riverside Park on 102nd via ramp or 103rd street via stairs and walk down towards the dog run and Ellington Cafe. Walk down from the promenade towards the river (at about 105th street) and you will see the rings. If coming by subway take the 1 train to 103rd and Broadway then walk West toward Riverside Drive.

Along the beach on 36th street, between the Sheraton and Belvedere hotels, is where you’ll find the Hillier Ignite Fitness Park. This area was was donated by the Hillier Ignite organization in 2016 in an effort to give back to the local community and give visitors something positive and fun to do on the beach.
The traveling rings of Virginia Beach have 9 rings in a row as well as many other fitness apparatuses, similar to those found on the Original Muscle Beach of Santa Monica.

Located in Pearsall Park, San Antonio, a set of traveling lies within 505 acres of park designed to offer a dynamic open space with fitness and recreational amenities for the public.
Championed by District 4 City Councilmember Rey Saldaña, the Pearsall Park Grand Opening Celebration took place June 11, 2016.
The traveling rings here consist of 9 rings in a row, similar to the design of the Virginia Beach rings.

One set of public traveling rings.
Located on a former U.S. Army Reserve barracks, Reserve Park contains a 6-ring set of traveling rings. The park also offers an obstacle course, playground, community garden and a giant eagle sculpture.
Reserve Park was revitalized through the Wild Space and Public Places program and opened in February of 2020. Traveling rings were built in response to local residents who had advocated for their inclusion.

In 2012 a set of traveling rings was installed in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. The park was designed by the arts group Superflex with the collaboration of Bjarke Ingels Group and Topotek1, a German landscape architecture firm. The idea behind the innovative park was to represent multiculturalism through objects from distinct countries. The traveling rings were chosen as an object to represent the USA!

The Cua Dai traveling rings (“Xích Đu Vòng – Cửa Đại” in Vietnamese) were installed in January of 2020 as a public works collaboration between TravelingRings.org, Cedric Dahl and ThinkPlaygrounds. Located in a quiet village just a stones throw from the beach, these rings are part of a public park beside a Buddhist temple.

The Yen So traveling rings (“Xích đu vòng Yên Sở” in Vietnamese) were installed in November of 2022 as a public works collaboration between TravelingRings.org and ThinkPlaygrounds. Located in one of the largest parks in Hanoi, these rings are open to the public year round. The structure comprises six rings installed over a sandbox.

For one week each summer a traveling rings oasis emerges from the Black Rock Desert. Since 2010 a dedicated group of ringers have designed and constructed a traveling ring rig for the famous Burning Man gathering.

In 2015 a set of traveling rings was installed in the Sky Zone trampoline park in Torrance, CA. This set features 4 rings suspended from a cantilevered steel rig. The Arlington Baths Club was originally built during 1870 – 1871 using Victorian-style architectural elements reflecting the trends of the time.
The traveling rings have a long tradition at the Arlington Baths Club. A series of 7 rings were hung from ceiling beams over the swimming pool so that club members could “travel” from one end of the pool to the other. Alongside the rings are a pair of flying trapeze bars.

In the Scottish capital of Edinburgh lies another bathhouse, called the Drumsheugh Baths Club, which contains a set of traveling rings over a swimming pool. This baths club was built by Sir John James Burnet (whose father designed the Arlington Baths) and opened in 1882. There are 6 wooden rings suspended by rope hanging above the pool alongside a flying trapeze rig.
